Saddle up for a unique experience as we invite you to join us on Sunday, October 1st, for a captivating introduction to
the world of horse riding, all conducted in the French language.
Led by the experienced duo of Hannah and Jeanny from Wildflower Riding Club,
this event promises not only an initiation into the art of horse riding but also a chance to practice your French language skills in an
immersive setting.
The exciting itinerary for this engaging 2-hour session includes: :
- Welcoming & orientation: Spend the first 10 minutes getting acquainted with your fellow participants. Complete the necessary paperwork, sign the waiver, and receive vital safety instructions. Get fitted for your riding helmet to ensure a secure experienc
-Learning to groom and tack up the horses: Dive into the world of equestrian care as you spend 30 minutes learning the art of grooming and properly equipping the horses with saddles and tack
-Learning to lead the horses: Discover the fundamental skill of leading a horse, a 10 to 15-minute session that builds your connection and understanding of these majestic animals
-Riding sessions: Discover the fundamental skill of leading a horse, a 10 to 15-minute session that builds your connection and understanding of these majestic animals
- Bonding time: Wind down the event with 10 minutes dedicated to feeding, treating, and showering the horses with
affection.
There will be two sessions:
- Kids & Teens (ages 6 to 15): From 10 a.m to 12 p.m. Please register your kids/teens here.
- Adults (age 16 and up): From 1 p.m to 3 p.m.
The activity will take place at Wildflower
Riding Club
located at 275064 Range Rd 33 (40 minutes driving from Calgary center).

I, THE NAMED PARTICIPANT, hereby acknowledge that I voluntarily participate in the horse riding activity organized by Alliance Française of Calgary. I acknowledge that horse riding i a potentially hazardous activity that involves risks and dangers, including but not limited to the risk of serious personal injury, and I voluntarily assume those risks.
I represent and warrant that I am in good physical condition and have no medical condition that would prevent
me from participating in this activity.
I agree to follow all rules and instructions provided by the organizers of the activity, and understand that my failure to do so may
result in my expulsion from the activity.
I voluntarily agree to accept and assume full responsibility and liability for any injuries, death, illness,
or damage to myself or my property that may occur as a result of my participation in this activity.
I understand that Alliance Française of Calgary assumes no liability for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by myself or my property
during the activity. I understand that the risks associated with this activity may include those that arise from the negligence or other
fault of Alliance Française of Calgary and its employees or agents. I acknowledge that my participation in this activity is voluntary and
that no one is forcing me to participate despite the risks.
I have read this waiver and release of liability and understand its terms.I understand that by signing this document, I am waiving
certain legal rights, including the right to sue or make a claim against Alliance Française of Calgary and its employees or agents in the
event of any injury or loss. This Voluntary Waiver and Release of Liability shall be binding upon me, my heirs, executors,
administrators, and assigns.
