Zal Sissokho is a master kora player and vocalist from a prestigious griot family, carrying the Mandinka traditions. Since arriving in Montreal in 1999, he has made a name for himself with his unique blend of Afro-Mandingo rhythms and contemporary Western music. A prolific artist, he has released five albums that explore societal themes through his soulful voice and innovative sound.
Caroline Planté is a flamenco guitarist and composer, trained from a young age by her father, one of Canada’s flamenco pioneers. As one of the few women in flamenco, she broke barriers as the first woman to compose and release a flamenco guitar album. With over 30 years of experience, she has collaborated with artists worldwide and received multiple awards for her work.
