Join the Alliance Française of Calgary and professional artist Patricia Lortie for a creative and immersive French experience! This painting club, held every Monday from 9:15 to 11:45 AM at Patricia’s west-side studio, welcomes all skill levels.
Explore your artistic side, refine your technique, and develop your unique style—all while speaking French! Choose your own projects and receive expert guidance on color mixing, composition, brushwork, and overcoming creative blocks in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Price: $200 per person, materials included. A session includes 5 classes: April 7, 14, 28, May 5, and 12. The event is open to all participants aged 16 and above.
A well-established Calgary artist, Patricia
Lortie
began teaching 20 years ago for financial stability but continues today out of passion—fostering a love for art and seeing her students
thrive. She exhibits her work in commercial and public galleries across Western Canada. Her practice explores natural systems, inspiring
abstract creations in painting, video, digital art, installations, and sculpture. Her touring exhibition
Les Gardiens features large tree-like sculptures made from
recycled cardboard.
