The Alliance Française of Calgary and the Consulate General of France in Vancouver are thrilled to welcome Fabien Toulmé, a celebrated graphic novelist, for a special creative workshop.
Join us on Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. in the Library of the Alliance Française of Calgary for an inspiring session that will introduce you to the exciting world of graphic novel creation. Fabien Toulmé is a talented and passionate artist known for his powerful storytelling and unique illustrative style. With several acclaimed graphic novels to his name, he’s the perfect guide to help you explore your creativity and learn the fundamentals of this expressive art form. During this hands-on workshop, you’ll:
- Discover the basics of graphic novel storytelling
- Learn simple techniques to create your own illustrated page
- Experiment with drawing and visual narration in a welcoming, creative atmosphere
No prior experience is needed—whether you're just starting out or already love to draw, this workshop is designed for everyone
aged 10 and up.
It’s also a great activity for families! Children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials (pencils, paper, etc.)
will be provided by the Alliance Française—just bring your imagination and a smile!
